FABRICS

Awnings can be made from a variety of fabrics, each with their own unique benefits and drawbacks. In this article, we’ll explore the most common fabrics used for awnings. One of the most popular fabrics for awnings is acrylic. Acrylic is a synthetic fabric that is durable and resistant to fading and mildew. It also comes in a wide range of colors and patterns, making it a popular choice for homeowners who want to add some personality to their outdoor space. Acrylic is often used by companies like Country Club Awnings & Blinds to create custom awnings that perfectly match the style and aesthetic of their clients.

Another popular fabric for awnings is polyester. Polyester is a synthetic fabric that is known for its durability and resistance to UV rays. It is also lightweight and easy to clean, making it a popular choice for commercial buildings and outdoor events. However, polyester can be prone to fading over time, so it may not be the best choice for homeowners who want their awnings to maintain their color for many years.

Cotton canvas is another fabric that is commonly used for awnings. Cotton canvas is a natural fabric that is durable and breathable, making it a great choice for hot and humid climates. It is also resistant to mildew and can be easily painted or dyed to match the style of the building or event. However, cotton canvas is not as resistant to UV rays as synthetic fabrics, and it can be more prone to shrinking and fading over time.

Vinyl is another popular fabric for awnings. Vinyl is a synthetic fabric that is known for its durability and resistance to weather and UV rays. It is also easy to clean and maintain, making it a popular choice for commercial buildings and outdoor events. However, vinyl is not as breathable as natural fabrics like cotton canvas, and it can be prone to cracking and fading over time.

When it comes to choosing the right fabric for an awning, it’s important to consider factors like climate, style, and durability. Country Club Awnings & Blinds can help clients choose the right fabric for their needs and create custom awnings that perfectly match the style and aesthetic of their space. However, it’s important to note that there is no single brand of fabric that can be considered the best, as different brands will have their own strengths and different clients will have specific needs. It is important for us to know what you need, so we can recommend what type of fabric suits your project and budget.

What Our Clients Say

Chris K.

Had need to replace our awning that was damaged by someone else. We had used Country Club Awnings about 4 years ago, and they had done an excellent job. They were scheduled to show up to day between 9 and 10 am, and were at our door at 5 minutes before 9. It would have been more convenient for them to walk to our back patio through our house, but before even offering that as an alternative, they inquired if there was somewhere close by they could use to access our back patio. Worked quickly, quietly, and neatly.

We had our wonderful retractable awnings (over our pool) put in in 2006! They are still working great in spite of all the wind they suffer through every spring here in the desert. 16 years later we had the material replaced, but the frames and motors are all in perfect working order. We have no regrets and continue to be their satisfied customer!
We just had misters put onto our retractable awnings and are now happier than ever. Thank you Country Club Awnings!

Did a great job of measuring, fabricating, and installing our automatic retractable awning. The installation team of FIVE, arrived on time and within a few hours completed the installation. Even the electrical service was installed with no exposed conduit, not an easy task. Our new awning looks great and has transformed our pool terrace into a year round 'outdoor room'. If you're in the market for a high quality awning at a very competitive price we can highly recommend Country Club Awnings.
